BUSH UNVEILS TAX CUT PLAN
President Bush formally presented his taxcut initiative, pledging across-the-boardincome tax relief and revamped bracketswith a maximum rate of 33%. The plan,worth $1.6 trillion over 10 years, wouldprovide an average of $1,600 in tax relieffor a family of four. The plan will go toCongress later this week and will changethe current income tax structure from fivebrackets peaking at 39.6% to four bracketswith a maximum rate of 33%.
