MADRID (AFX) - Large store sales rose a provisional 6.13 pct in December from November and were up 53.23 pct from a year earlier, the National Statistics Institute (INE) said. The large store sales index, calculated using 1994 as its base, stood at 228.02 in December. INE said food sales rose 6.04 pct in December from November and 53.93 pct from a year earlier, while sales of other goods increased 6.4 pct month-on-month and 52.63 pct year-on-year.
