14 February 2001, 09:53  GERMANY MEDIAN FORECAST: JAN WPI +0.3% M/M, +4.6% Y/Y

FRANKFURT (MktNews) - German wholesale prices for January are seen rising 0.3% from their December levels and rising 4.6% from their January 2000 level, according to the median forecast of 12 economists surveyed by Market News International.
The high forecast is for a rise of 0.8% on the month and a 5.1% increase for the year, while the low end of the range is for a decline of 0.5% on the month and a rise of 3.8% on the year.
In December, wholesale prices fell 0.3% on the month and rose 5.1% on the year.
