Economics Minister Taro Aso reportedly said at a news conference he personally thinks that economic growth in the October-December quarter will be flat and then will probably rise in the Jan-Mar quarter. He said the government would achieve the 1.2% growth target for FY2001 and that the BOJ action will no have immediate impact on the overall economy.
