FRANKFURT (MktNews) - Germany is forecast to register a DM7.8 billion trade surplus in December, according to the median forecast of a Market News International survey among 19 economists.
The high forecast was for a DM18.0 billion surplus with the low forecast calling for a DM4.1 billion surplus. Germany's current account is expected to post a DM4.9 billion deficit in December. The high forecast was for the account to show a deficit of DM1.2 billion, while the low forecast calls for a DM8.9 billion deficit. In November, the trade balance surplus stood at DM8.6 billion while the current account posted a DM6.2 billion deficit.
