New York--Feb. 9--The Nasdaq Composite index spiraled lower, ending the week down 7%, as investors worried that it may take more than a couple of quarters for the economy to recover. The broader market also retreated amid weakness in large-cap technology stocks. The Nasdaq closed down 91.09, or 3.56%, to 2470.97 and the Dow was down 99.10, or 0.91%, to 10,781.45. The S&P 500 was down 17.77, or 1.33%, to 1314.76.
