MADRID (AFX) - The trade deficit widened 30.7 pct in October to 653.5 bln ptas from a year earlier, the Economy ministry said. Exports climbed 18.3 pct in October to 1.989 trln ptas from a year earlier, while imports were 21.1 pct higher at 2.643 trln, the ministry said. In the ten months to Oct 31, it said the trade deficit widened 36.5 pct to 5.867 trln ptas from a year earlier, with exports up 19 pct and imports rising 23.1 pct.
