Frankfurt--Jan. 5--German plant and machinery orders in November rose a real 19% on the year and once again were mainly driven by foreign demand, the German Machinery and Plant Manufacturers Association (VDMA) said on Friday. German domestic plant and machinery orders in November fell a real 3% from the same month in 1999, while foreign orders jumped 36% on the year, VDMA said. * * * In the September-November period, which eliminates some of the short-term swings in cyclical business, total orders rose a real 13% on the year, VDMA said. During September-November, German plant and machinery orders included a 20% annual rise in foreign orders and a 5% increase in domestic orders.
