Tokyo--Jan. 5--Bank of Japan Governor Masaru Hayami said Friday that he doesn't expect the yen to weaken against the U.S. dollar. Hayami added that the market determines currency levels and that, if the currency levels are out of economic fundamentals, they will definitely return. The US dollar/yen marked a 17-month high of 116.90 Friday. * * * Hayami told reporters after the new year meeting of business leaders and the government officials.
