Thursday, U.S. November factory orders were up 1.7%, higher than the 1.3% gain that was expected. Nondurables gained 0.7% on food products and coal durables were revised to up 2.5% from up 2.3% on a 8.8% jump in transportation, 7.0% gain in electronics and whopping 24.9% gain in defense.
