UK CONSUMER CONFIDENCE JUMPS IN JAN - GfK
The GfK consumer confidence index rose to +5 in January from -1 inDecember. This was the highest level since January 2000. GfKattributed the latest improvements to the recent cut in US interestrates, with consumers speculating that a similar trend may begin inthe UK.
