Tokyo--Jan. 26--The Nikkei 225 Stock Average ended the morning 0.7% lower as technology and telecommunication stocks came under pressure following the 3.7% decline in the Nasdaq Composite Index overnight. Some low- and mid-priced defensive issues posted modest gains. The Nikkei fell 89.72 points to 13,713.66.
