POTSDAM, Germany (AFX) - Consumer prices in the state of Brandenburg rose 0.9 pct in January from December and were up 2.4 pct from a year earlier, according to figures from the Brandenburg Statistics Office.
The Federal Statistics Office uses consumer price data from Baden-Wuerttemberg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Bavaria to determine its provisional CPI for western Germany.
