Tokyo--Jan. 23--The Nikkei ended the morning session slightly higher as futures-led buying emerged toward the morning close erasing earlier losses led by profit-taking. Investors' hopes for improved supply/demand conditions continued to aid market sentiment, traders said. The Nikkei rose 24.08 points or 0.17% to 14,056.50.
