The ISI U.S. company survey index rose to 50.1. in the week ended January 12, the second increasein the index since November 22; the 4-week average also rose, reaching 47.7 from 46.7, the first timeboth the 1-week and the 4-week averages have risen since November, International Strategy &Investments said in its weekly company survey.
